What we sharpen
Do you sharpen serrated knives?

Do you sharpen scissors?
Yes: kitchen shears, poultry shears and household scissors. Not barber, salon or pet-grooming shears. More on scissors.
Do you sharpen Cutco knives?
Yes, straight-edge Cutco knives, for $8 each. For Cutco's serrated Double-D knives, bring one in and we'll tell you on the spot whether we can sharpen it.
Do you sharpen Japanese knives?
Yes. We sharpen German and Japanese kitchen knives, from a $30 knife to a $300 one, with the same care.
Can you fix a chipped or broken tip?
Yes. We repair chips and broken tips.
Do you sharpen meat slicer blades?
Yes, $75 per blade.
Timing
How fast is drop-off?
Drop off before noon and your knives are usually ready the same day.
How soon can you come to my home?
We fold at-home visits into our next route through your area, usually the following week.
How often should a restaurant sharpen its knives?
A busy kitchen should sharpen line and prep knives every week. That's why our restaurant routes run weekly.
How often should a home cook sharpen?
Most home cooks need sharpening every 3 to 6 months, with honing in between.
Restaurant service
What's the difference between knife swap and sharpening?
With knife swap we drop off sharp knives and take the dull ones, so your line never waits. With on-site sharpening we sharpen your own knives on the truck.
How long does a restaurant visit take?
We sharpen on the truck while your cooks keep working. For zero downtime, choose knife swap: we hand you a sharp set and take the dull one, so your line is never without knives.
Do I need to be there?
No. We work with your kitchen manager or chef.
Can you deliver supplies too?
Yes. Gloves, trash liners, foil, film and smallwares come on the same truck, on one invoice.
Where do you go?
Dallas-Fort Worth and Austin, plus the suburbs around them. See our service area page.
